Upper Peninsula, Michigan, close to the Canadian border. Super remote, Iron River is close to almost 1 million acres of the Ottawa National Forest. People relocate there for its remoteness to escape their troubles. This is the kind of place where everyone DOESN’T know everybody. NO ONE calls you friend.
October 27th, 2014
Police Chief Laura Frizzo said that Terri Odonnell went to her office. Chief Frizzo said it changed her life forever. Terri wanted to report someone missing. Terri’s described as a school teacher who was very distraught about a man she knew that went missing. The man’s name is Christopher Karl Regan, 53 years old, about 6’1, blonde hair, blue eyes, thin build. He had 2 sons. Chris Regan is Terri’s ex-boyfriend. Terri says that she met Chris in the 1980’s and started out as friends. Decades later, through the magic of Facebook they reconnected. They started a long distance relationship. Both were divorced and wanted to begin dating. They got very serious. Terri said that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. After a year and a half, Chris got tired of the UP and decided to look for a job elsewhere. Terri and Chris’s relationship ended amicably, and they still spoke regularly until mid-October. 2 weeks after, Terri reported him missing. She said she hadn’t spoken to Chris since October 14th. He said that he had just accepted a job in North Carolina and was excited to move, then that was it from him. Chief Frizzo didn’t know exactly when Chris had gone missing. Was it the last time Terri had heard from him? Was it right before she reported him missing? Chief Frizzo’s sergeant, Sgt. Cindy Barrette, comes in. Terri says that her parents are Chris’s landlord. Barrette takes Terri to Chris’s apartment so that Barrette can look around. Barrette said that it was obvious from the state of the apartment that Chris had been packing. Things were disheveled. He had suitcases, to do lists regarding moving tasks. Terri said the last time she spoke to Chris was October 14th at 6am. Holy shit do they get chatty early! She said that he was going for his drug test the following day and if he passed (which he would) that’s the last thing he’d have to do before getting the job. Terri was upset about him leaving, but she said that he never showed up to his appt the next day. There were eyeglasses left on the counter, medications in the cupboard, dishes in the sink. Chris didn’t leave his apartment in a way that he would’ve been gone for an extended amount of time. He left as if he was coming back soon. Terri said that there was someone in the apartment that shouldn’t have been there.
Terri tells Barrette that Chris’ car was last seen at the park and ride, a carpooling area on the outskirts of Iron River. Barrette and Terri ride out to look at the car and they notice a knee brace in the passenger side. Terri said that he had just had knee surgery and should’ve been wearing it at all times. Terri was really wanting to get into the car. She was afraid that Chris was in the trunk of the car. When it was later opened, it was empty.
There were thoughts that Chris had possibly gotten lost in the woods, but there wasn’t much validity in that. Most often hunters or overdue fisherman were reported hours after going missing. Chief Frizzo had Chris’ car towed back to the state police forensic lab for processing. They got search warrants for his cell phone and his bank info. His last bank card purchase was for gas in Iron River on October 14th at 4pm. Chief Frizzo found footage of Chris at the gas station and could make out that he was wearing jeans and a t-shirt the day of his disappearance.
Frizzo reaches out to the State Police commander and tells him that they do not have a detective, and that they’re understaffed. She needed help. 3 detectives responded from Michigan State Police. They immediately feel Terri is the number one suspect. They had a romantic relationship and Terri had noticed that Chris had had contact with other women online and that could’ve been the motive. Detectives questioned Terri for over 2 hours. Terri said that she kind of got enraged over it. The detectives wanted to bring Terri in for a polygraph test, Frizzo said that she disagreed. She said that she believed Terri. The state police and Frizzo are at odds and this wouldn’t be the only time.
Local news ran a press release for missing Chris Regan on their website and in the comments someone asked, “Does anybody know Dale Vassar?” Chief Frizzo knew Vassar. He had a rough history, been in a little trouble with the law, had a temper and was difficult to deal with. He had also rented an apartment for a short time from Terri’s parents. He lived next to Chris. He helped Chris once with a drywall job and Chris, being the perfectionist that he was, wasn’t pleased with his work. There was a theory that maybe the two, since they knew each other, had gotten into some sort of an altercation and something had happened to Chris at Dale’s hands. Michigan State Police locate Vassar and interview him in their vehicle. They asked about the drywall job. They said, “do you remember doing the job for Chris?” and he responds VERY surprised, like, “THAT’S who lived across from me?!!? I might’ve talked to him once. If that’s who, if that’s who, uh Chris is. I never put that together.” That was the only contact that Dale had with Chris and that was within the first few weeks of Chris moving into the area. Dale agreed to take a polygraph test and had an iron solid alibi. He wasn’t even in the state of Michigan when Chris disappeared.
The next place to try to get some info was Chris’ employer, a military contractor called the Oldenburg Group. Laura Sartori, former HR director for Oldenburg Group was questioned. She called Chris a very smart, sharp individual. Almost immediately after starting the job he was appointed supervisor. Because of his quick promotion he gained some enemies and jealous peers at work. Laura said that the last day that Chris worked was October 14th. He had a slip to be out of the office on the 15th but he never showed up on the 16th when he was expected. He wasn’t the kind of guy to just up and leave. He would’ve told them he wasn’t going to show back up. Chief Rizzo asks if Chris knew any coworkers well. She said that he was rumored to have been seeing another employee. Her name is Kelly Cochran. No relation to Jesse Cochran, early name of Uncle Jesse from Full House until they decided to make him Greek! The thing is…. Kelly is a married woman. Scandalous… Kelly was hired as an electrical assembler and according to rumors they had began hooking up after Chris and Terri broke up, during the summertime. She seemed like a very nice person. She was the kind of person who would go over without being asked and cut her elderly neighbor’s grass after she cut her own. But Kelly had problems. Kelly’s team leader had told Laura that there were some problems Kelly had at home. Laura called Kelly into her office and Kelly said that her husband had tried to kill her and then was going to kill himself. Laura said that she was bothered by what she had heard and had asked her husband if he’d be ok with letting Kelly move into the apartment they had attached to their house. Her husband thought it was a bad idea.
Chief Frizzo contacts state police and tells them they need to question Kelly at her house and bring backup. Sgt. Barrette and Trooper Boyer went to the Cochran residence in Caspian, Michigan. Jason Cochran answered the door, he was Kelly’s husband. He was irritated, agitated and not polite at all. He said that Kelly wasn’t home and would be back in about an hour. Barrette asked Jason if anyone else is home and he said no. Then guess who comes to the mother fucking door? Kelly Kapowski Cochran. Oh…. So She WAS home?! She was very friendly with the police. Barrette asked Jason why he lied, and Kelly said that he thought she might’ve been in trouble. Kelly said that the last time she talked to Chris was on the 14th or 15th of October and since then she had tried to text and call with no answer. Barrette told Kelly that Chris’ car had been parked at the park and ride for over 2 weeks, but Kelly said she’s basically never heard of that. Barrette then asked Kelly about the affair and Kelly admitted to it and said that Jason was fine with it. All this time Jason is standing there and says nothing. There was no emotion. Kelly seemed to be worried about Chris and she said that she was kinda upset because she thought he might’ve moved and not said anything to her. She told Barrette, “if you heard from him or find out anything let me know.” Barrette calls Frizzo and says, “something in my gut tells me something is very, very wrong.”
October 28th, 2014. The day after going to the Cochran home, Chief Frizzo asks the Cochrans to come into the police station for questioning. They interview them separately, Kelly goes first. Kelly was very friendly and talkative. Kelly said the last time she “seen” him was in his apartment sometime “between the 12th and the 15th.” She said that they had dinner together pretty much every night. That she’d cook and it was usually at his apartment. But she said that he had come to her house 2 or 3 times. She said they were extremely close and that Chris had asked her to move to North Carolina with him. She said that she told Jason about the affair. That she was open with him and that Chris wasn’t the only one she was seeing, that they were separated. She said that Jason had cancer a while back and couldn’t do anything physical without having a lot of pain so it had been difficult. Det. Belanger asks Kelly if she had any other “friends” that were like Chris and she says yes. They asked who and she asked if that’s necessary. Belanger said that she can’t promise that they won’t go talk to them, but that they have to find Chris. She named Eric Erickson. He was another one of Chris’ workers. Kelly explains that she was seeing Eric at the same time she was seeing Chris, and that all the men knew about each other. The detective asks if they should look at Jason and Kelly says, “I don’t see why you would.” They ask about Jason threatening to kill her and himself and Kelly says, “It was scary.” but she says that he wouldn’t do something to Chris out of jealousy or anger. That he’s been angry and depressed but not because of her and her relationship.
After Kelly’s interview they call Jason. He begins his interview by saying that he sees a therapist for high anxiety, and he was institutionalized a little over a month prior for that. Then he just starts sobbing. They asked him if he knew about the affairs and he said that he knew that she had been seeing people, but that he wasn’t really happy about it. There are major discrepancies with the stories. He says that there was a period of time that he was unable to walk or have sex and he agreed that she was able to see other people. He says that he feels responsible because he wasn’t enough of a man for her so he had to allow her to do whatever she wanted or she’d divorce him. But he would wait hours, impatiently waiting for his wife to come home. On October 16, 2 days after Chris went missing, Jason checked himself into a psychiatric hospital. He was suicidal. He was in the hospital for about 5 days. He said he never threatened to hurt her, just himself.
By November, 2014, Iron River police had a few resources at their disposal in the search for Chris, helicopters with infrared vision to search the ground, a dog team that were searching the whole area. But time is running out. Once it snows, they’ll be forced to wait till Spring. Right next to the Cochran’s place is the Caspian pit, which used to be an active mine years ago. There are a lot of open mine pits that are called bottomless because they’re so deep. Kelly claims that she and Jason are completely ok with their arrangement of an open marriage but Chief Frizzo found text messages that said otherwise.
Jason: Don’t be with other guys. Be with me.
Kelly: You never loved me. Don’t ruin my life or hurt me anymore.
Jason: I still love you. Please stop lying to me. You went to lunch with another guy again. Come home after work and no men for lunch please.
Kelly’s cell phone records show that she’s been speaking to Lynn and her son Kurtis Hull. They are two locals who used to work with Kelly at a diner in Iron River. Frizzo interviews Kurtis and he says that he never met Jason but that Kelly told him all kinds of things about him. Like she said he was obsessive, that she was having all kinds of affairs and he would go through her pockets looking for guys’ numbers. He was really controlling and jealous and that she was ready to ship him off somewhere. That he was possibly a danger to Kelly.
State police had interviewed the Cochrans, but Chief Frizzo decided to try her hand on November 10th, 2014. She brings Jason in first to be questioned. She asks him how often Kelly was going out and he says more frequently. He said that he had these raging thoughts that were going through his mind and were yelling the whole time. He said that Kelly would often come home from work, change clothes and then go right back out to meet other men. He said the voices in his head were telling him to kill himself because everyone would be better off without him. He also said he was seeing things. Chief frizzo tells Jason that Kelly has told people that he’s tried to kill her and he seems surprised by this. Jason would take walks while Kelly was at work, he didn’t work and she had their vehicle so he walked. One day he walked a different route than usual and saw Kelly’s car parked at Chris’ house. He has no reason for walking in that direction. He said that he never met or saw Chris or knew where he lived until he saw the truck. He will not admit to anything. Then he says he’s starting to feel like he should be talking to an attorney.
A few minutes later Frizzo talks to Kelly about whether Jason had met Chris in person. She says no. But when asked about her truck being at Chris’ she said Jason mentioned it and that she just said it was there. She said that she didn’t think that Jason knew that she was even dating Chris at the time. Frizzo tells her that she thinks Jason knew more than Kelly thought he did. Kelly is asked to take a lie detector test and Kelly is NOT down with that. She says no more or less.
Frizzo gets a call from Chris Regan and is really hopeful he’s called to say that he’s ok and not to worry, but then finds out that it’s Chris Jr. He said it had been 2 or more weeks since he’d spoken with his dad. That he didn’t know anyone from the area so he couldn’t contact anyone to ask where he was. The Chris’ were very close when Jr. was a kid. Then there was a falling out and they were rebuilding their relationship when Sr. went missing. They were supposed to get a place together in North Carolina.
January 2015 Chris Jr. travels up to Iron River to move his father’s things into storage. Chris Sr. has been missing for 3 months. After speaking to Kelly and hearing about the 3 men she was seeing at the same time, police decide they need to bring Eric in to speak with him about Chris’ disappearance. Eric said that he had just moved back to Iron River after being in the military. They met at work at the Oldenburg Group where Chris was Eric’s supervisor. He said that they went out a couple times, she had come onto him. She was a fast mover and after a little bit of texting and talking they had sex. Eric tells her about the first time they had had sex. He said that Kelly picked Eric up in her truck and drove him to a place he suggested, Wildwood Lake which is very close to the Park and Ride where Chris’ car was abandoned. He also said that he had been to her house once and they had had sex IN HER BED!!! Eric said he thought that Jason was out of the picture completely. He said that the way she was with texting and being available was all or nothing. She was either super all about it or he wouldn’t hear from her for days. It was always on her schedule. He said he was aware of Kelly and Chris dating throughout the entire time. Frizzo goes through his phone and sees a text to Kelly from October 12th, 2014, 2 days before Chris goes missing. It says something like leaving work, heading out to camp, are you home? Then they met up at…. The mother fucking park and ride!! So they ask him to take a polygraph and he agrees and he passes! Frizzo leaves him with a warning about Jason and tells him to stay away from him. Chris tells them that Kelly’s been called a liar and not exactly to believe everything she says.
Frizzo is going through Kelly’s text messages and comes across one from October 20th between Kelly and Art Johnson, another coworker of Kelly’s. Art messaged asking when Kelly had last heard from Chris. Kelly said not since the previous week. Art had been off work when Chris had gone missing. He had carpal tunnel surgery. Art said that everyone at work knew about Kelly and Chris’ relationship, and when Chris found out about it he wasn’t happy. Chris was a private man and didn’t want anyone knowing his business. He heard that Kelly said something and had let everyone know that they were an item.
By mid-December the Michigan state police and Chief Frizzo weren’t in agreement on their opinions about the case. State police thought that he had made himself disappear by killing himself and Frizzo knew something was going on. She also got grief from the Iron River City Manager Perry Franzoi, because he thought she was using too many resources on the investigation so Frizzo started going in on weekends to work the case. The city council thought that she was too obsessed about the case. She was being told by men that as a woman she was doing her job wrong. But she didn’t give a shit. She just kept doing what she was doing.
She turned to the people of Iron River, and they helped raise money to keep the investigation going. P.I.s Jim McNeil and Molly Barron join the team. March 5, 2015, Frizzo finally has enough evidence for a search of the Cochran house. The Cochrans go to a neighbor’s house while the house is being searched. They found a shit ton of weapons. And not like regular weapons. Like a loaded .22 handgun, swords and axes and crossbows and things. The house was covered in weapons. Then crime lab techs arrive. They found what appeared to be blood spatter on the ceiling in the living room through luminol. It seemed like cast off from blunt force trauma. The spatter seemed to have been painted over. The search ended almost 12 hours after it began. They recovered lots of weapons and some spatter but until it could be tested they had nothing.
So guess what the Cochrans did after the search? They fucking fled. Frizzo brings the neighbors that the Cochrans stayed with in for questioning. David and Todd Saylor said they weren’t surprised that the Cochrans left. They said they were both nervous while their house was being searched. Then they were asked if they heard anything suspicious around the time of Chris’ disappearance. David Saylor said his grandmother heard a gunshot and loud screaming and then a car door slamming. She heard 2 cars leaving around Kelly and Jason’s house. The grandmother, Caroline Miatech was brought in for questioning. She said that she heard the gunshot and she went to her window and saw a car parked with its headlights on. She said that a woman seemed in distress and she heard a man say, “hurry, let’s get the hell outta here.” The car backed out and left. Over the next few nights David said that he heard what he thought were power tools running at the Cochran’s house in the middle of the night. There was a thought that maybe Chris was lured to the house and maybe shot and dismembered.
So David Saylor talked about hanging out with the Cochrans. He said that they met and started hanging out in September of 2014. They would hang out and smoke weed and then one night, 2 night after Chris went missing, the Cochrans invited the Saylors to their house for a barbecue. David said that was very strange because they had never done that and hadn’t after. They were always broke and there was $150-$200 worth of meat there that night. David said that he didn’t recognize the kind of meat they were serving them. He said it looks like it was sort of transparent like a lobster or shrimp. He said it was like something he had never eaten before. David believes that they ate Chris. David said that all of that made him completely distrust and feel betrayed by the Cochrans. He was friends with Jason.
On March 27th, 2015, 2 weeks after the search of the house the lab results were back from the blood found in the house. Frizzo finds out that all the lab could determine is that it was blood, but the lab couldn’t tell what kind or whose blood it was. That same day Frizzo goes back to the house to do a second search. This time they took way more evidence to be tested. Parts of walls, doors, anything that appeared to have blood on it. Frizzo went down into the basement and found some of Jason’s writings from while he was in a mental facility which happened to be after Chris’ disappearance. Jason talked about being a hunter and the feeling a hunter gets while stalking his prey. He talked about a stranger in his home and about putting a sign on the wall that said, “If you’re not invited, you’re not welcome.”
One of Frizzo’s private investigators finds Kelly and Jason while they’re on the run. On March 5th, 2015, before Frizzo conducted the search warrant, her investigators put a tracker on the Cochrans’ truck! They had gone to their hometown of Merrillville, Indiana.
Kelly Marie Cochran was born in 1980 in Merrillville, Indiana. She lived right next door to Jason Cochran and that’s how the two met. Kelly had a tough adolescence. She would run away from home multiple times according to Melanie Gaboyan, Kelly’s mom. Melanie said, “Kelly would make her mind up and just do it, so she was put in a girls’ home.” Melanie said that Jason, 3 years older than Kelly, was a good kid, sure, he had his own issues but he was a good kid. They started dating while she was in high school and fell in love and got married. They spent most of their lives in Indiana and then moved to the UP.
Meanwhile, Frizzo needs to get DNA from Kelly and Jason to be able to categorize the blood found in the home and pinpoint what is Chris’. She contacts the Lake County Sheriff’s dept in Indiana and speaks to Michelle Dvorscak about helping her obtain DNA. Dvorscak gets a search warrant. They surprised them at Kelly’s mom’s house and served the warrant for their DNA. Frizzo is actually in Indiana and talks to Jason when they bring him into the police station for the DNA. She tries to get him to turn on Kelly, but he refuses and asks for a lawyer. Next it’s Kelly’s turn. Frizzo kind of tells Kelly that she knows everything and confronts Kelly about the lie she told about not knowing what or where the park and ride was. Then Kelly says that she wants a lawyer now too.
In Spring, 2015, Frizzo requests a search for the Caspian Pit, an abandoned mine behind the Cochran’s home. Divers went into the pit and came out with a cinder block with some sort of rope attached to a barrel. Kind of like the one Phoebe played with! The rope was actually a clothesline that was attached from the Cochran’s garage to their house according to a neighbor. Gary Wernholm, a neighbor, also told police that he had noticed the Cochran’s burning something a few days after Chris’ disappearance and it didn’t smell right. The barrel divers pulled out was a burn barrel but being in the bottom of a pit all winter emptied the barrel. But once snow started melting investigators could tell where the fire pit was. In the ashes they found remnants from a pair of jeans and a blade from a reciprocating saw but they couldn’t link them to Chris.
Then in April, 2015, Frizzo gets the results from the new lab work they pulled from the second search of the Cochran house. They found blood, but were too contaminated by paint to prove anything more. Frizzo then reaches out to the FBI and they agree to help. First thing they do is reverse the GPS in Chris’ car and can prove he was at the Cochran’s the night he disappeared. The FBI also found a rabbit’s foot under the Cochran’s house that was thought to have belonged to Chris.
February 2016, Lake County Sheriff’s dept in Indiana gets a 911 call from Kelly Cochran. She reports that her husband isn’t breathing. Jason had no pulse and was unresponsive. Jason was dead. Since the death took place in Indiana the Hobart Police dept assign Jeremy Ogden to investigate and rule out homicide. Ogden asked to get the files from Chris’ investigation. So the night of Jason’s death the medics noted that Kelly was uncooperative and was in the way almost like she was trying to hide something. Ogden sees this and suspects foul play. Ogden attends the autopsy so the examiner would know the situation surrounding Jason’s death. The examiner notes that there were some marks on the body that indicate suffocation and strangulation. His sinus cavities collapsed. The autopsy report came back and was ruled a homicide.
On February 29th. 2016 Det. Ogden interviewed Kelly at Hobart Police Dept. He starts off asking about Jason and then he switches to Chris and tells her that he thinks she could really help the case as a witness NOT a suspect. But Kelly was all NUH UH. But then the FBI tells Ogden about a friend of Jason’s, Walt Ammerman, Jason’s best friend and online gaming bud. Walt had come forward and contacted the FBI with some information he had about the case. So Ogden asked Walt to be an informant for him and have him call Kelly and tell her that he had a letter that Jason mailed to him, which wasn’t true. On March 12th, 2016 with Ogden there they made the call. So the call basically went a little something like this. Walt – “Hey Kelly, I got a letter from Jason on January 4th or 5th and inside was a note from him and another letter inside and he said if something were to happen to him I should mail the letter. It’s to the Iron River Police Dept.” And Kelly says, “Please don’t.”
2 days later she wants to see and talk to Ogden. She wanted to talk about the letter. On March 29, 2016 she’s back at Hobart PD. She said, “I’ll tell you what happened to Chris Regan. Chris is dead, Jason shot and killed him.” She said that Jason shot Chris in the head. She said he got rid of him. He cut him up. He asks Kelly to help him bring Chris home so his kids can bury him. She said that might be hard but Ogden presses her and says she might know where some of his remains are. And he tells her she’s going with him. They drive from Indiana to UP, Michigan. When they get to Iron River she leads them to a county road. 639 Pentoga Trail was the spot where she said they dumped his remains.
While det are looking for remains Kelly agrees to take Ogden to her old house to do a reenactment of what happened that night. She said that she and Chris were having sex in the doorway of her house, because “they didn’t make it upstairs” with a smirk. Barf. Then they were walking up the stairs. She said that she didn’t know that Jason was in the house and while he was walking up the steps Jason emerges from the basement and shoots past her and kills Jason. She says that in the basement, Jason forced her to dismember the body and then clean up. She said it took her 24 hours to clean. She said that the pieces of Chris were small depending on the body part. Investigators in the forest didn’t find any parts of Chris.
Kelly is transferred back to Indiana and she was supposed to meet Ogden for a polygraph test and then head back to the UP, but the day she’s supposed to meet she texts Ogden and says, “The west coast looks good this time of day.” Kelly has fled. AGAIN. Frizzo secures an arrest warrant, MEANWHILE Ogden is still texting Kelly and he knows that if he keeps texting her that she’ll be curious enough to turn her phone on and check them and then he can pinpoint where she is. And I’ll be damned if it doesn’t work! She was in Wingo, Kentucky. US Marshalls go in and take her down. And when she’s arrested she looks roughhhhh. She’s supposed to be 34 there. Which is close to our age but I’m sorry when I say woof.. She had marks and blemishes all over her face like sores. She makes me almost ashamed to have tattoos. She is arrested for homicide, home invasion, disinterment, mutilation, concealing death, lying to police and accessory.
Now Kelly admits that she not only was there and helped Chris, but that she was supposed to kill him herself. She and Jason had a strange blood pact. 14 years before that, on their wedding night, they agreed that if she had an affair that she was supposed to kill that person or Jason would kill her. So she says that she met Chris that night at the front door and Jason was waiting at the backdoor. She told Chris to go to the back door knowing that Jason was going to kill him. When he walked in the backdoor Jason shot him. Kelly is then transferred to the Iron City PD.
Kelly does an interview and says that she had nothing to do with it, but that she felt like she should say that she did because she felt guilty that Chris isn’t here. She’s led to the woods to try to locate Chris’ remains again but can’t show anything so they bring in the dog handler. While the dogs are attempting to locate the remains Kelly is asked by Frizzo about the dismemberment. She said it took a long time and Jason was sawing for hours and she’s giggling while she talks. And Frizzo goes, “it must give you some sort of enjoyment.” and she says, “Yeah, the high, the blood. Seeing the blood, tasting it.”
The dog found part of a bag by a tree that Kelly had indicated was the location. They found a bag and it had been shredded and it appeared animals had gotten into it. There was nothing inside. But then the dog came across a rock and next to it was Chris’ skull. Then they find a lower jawbone. It was confirmed to be Chris’. That same day Kelly showed police where the murder weapon was hidden. It was tossed into the Caspian pit behind their house. She also told them about forceps that were used to try to pull the bullet out of Chris’ skull and investigators overlooked them. They were the one piece of evidence that had Chris’ blood on them.
Opening statements began on Valentine’s day 2017. Kelly argued that she was a victim of her husband and that she had no choice and had to go through with it. The jury wasn’t convinced. She was found guilty on all counts and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. She was also sentenced to 65 years in prison on Wednesday following the strangulation death of her husband in Indiana.
